Jehovah's Witness lifts ban on blood transfusions

COVID completely rearranged those numbers, so there must have been one hell of a lot of people co-operating in the "con" to make that happen.

The testing method and much of the reporting was flawed. Some are now beginning to believe intentionally, some were certainly pushing without valid reason.

But off topic, so I'll stop there.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely..

(Valid to topic too 😗)

Yeah, it's off topic for sure. But people don't just attend hospitals, and gain admission at scale, when they aren't ill.

With hindsight the response was extreme, but everyone is a wizard with hindsight.

Maybe so, but I had 2 friends who died from Covid.

The hospital did extensive tests after they had been admitted. Covid hastened their decline and was the primary reason
The PCR test - in confirming the presence of a virus - was about as legit as calling yourself 'the science'.

Remember the inventor of PCR? What did he say about its use?

Some comments I came across;
I have Jehovah's Witnesses who are friends, some of the comments on here are just sensationalism lol. Every belief is backed up by a scripture and they can research the conclusions for themselves to decide whether to accept it or not. From what i've heard about the Blood thing, it was whole blood for all this time - but the technology (interestingly a lot of research done by them and other denominations, countries and companies) have allowed "blood" to be further split into fractions. It is these fractions that based on again - your own research and decision - is now up to individual to choose whether they will accept them or not. The only one not negotiable is whole-blood transfusion. Interestingly a lot of Netcare hospitals support surgeries with little or no use of blood, I know someone who not for faith purposes but just did not want a blood transfusion and they successfully did the surgery without it.

It is as polarizing I guess as Muslims not eating non-Halaal meat, or alcohol or Jews not having non Kosher meat - both of which are also based on not consuming whole blood.

He did also backtrack a bit under pressure later, but by then the cat was already out of the bag 🤷‍♂️

One thing i know about these machines - when i asked a lab once during COVID they said there were VERY Expensive to run and the prices went through the roof during the pandemic. But they seemed to indicate it worked - i mean when it diagnosed me twice i was sick.

Its also used for Influenza etc which NOTE costs an arm and a leg. Next time my Dr asks if i want to know which one I have i'll say no i'll take my chances i'm sick anyway lol

To be fair - Mullis, inventor of the PCR test, was possibly taken out of context... a lot of smoke though, and plenty of other-abuse fire with PCR anyway.

Do you know what precisely has triggered this change in JW doctrine.[edit: neoprema's post and the orginal article together cleared this up. New position on a new question. Old/existing position remains unchanged]

Would anyone who chose not to get the jab, be okay(*) with a blood transfusion from a person who was jabbed? (lowered standards for quality control, and for legal liability, were not a secret/conspiracy theory)

* Given the choice, i.e. making your preference known before you needed the transfusion.

So the following paragraph is slightly misleading, then...

The Department of Health has welcomed a significant change in the longstanding position of Jehovah’s Witnesses on blood transfusions, a development that could ease the burden on doctors who have faced difficult choices when trying to save lives.
... since JWs have not changed their position at all on the longstanding type of blood transfusions that have been taking place.

Whole blood: Still a no go!

Geeezaaaaz!!!!

How does one fire a media organiztion?

This is perhaps a lot more relevant than some are suggesting, since nobody was supposed to have an excuse for declining healthcare service offers, during the deliberately lowered standard of health-care treatment.

See the propaganda at work, here?

'[JW's should be commended for changing their backward position on blood.]' ... so that poor doctors that deserve all our hero-worship don't have to force them into (the lowered-standards of) the modern era.

Phew.... I was worried there for a second, that parents would retain legal authority over their own children. /s

Can't blame anyone for wanting to be careful.

There were strong tell-tale signs though, and some become seriously obstinate about that. Muh-science only works when there's official honesty.

IMHO it could be both, but conspiracy is hard to prove let alone pinpoint. The world isn't designed much for truth :-/

Personally, for now just happy to see some further flexibility among some Christians.

The article addresses the question of religious exemption from being forced, not simply the right to say 'no thanks,' sans religious reasons.

It's already made the leap, that you need special permission from the State.

Did you miss that?

NHS records of patient admissions during that time are freely available. In normal times, admissions follow extremely predictable patterns, with a big upswing in the winter months and less demand during summer.

Conspiracy theorists aren't very keen on facts for obvious reasons.
the single most eye watering conspiracy theory known to mankind.
bill clinton could not even get a blowjob under his desk in the privacy of his office, without the entire world learning about it.

but here we have the great "convid" - a con sacrificing thousands upon thousands, costing countries hundreds of millions, destroying their economies - just so a few "big pharma" entities could win bigly.

the bigger con is social media having convinced those with having zero academic teaching and even less clinical experience, that it all was a big scam - hundreds upon thousands of medically trained people were all lying in concert, as were thousands of private hospitals and private pathology facilities - all in on the gig
