The price of freedom is death - Malcolm X
SA is inching closer to banning the use of cash in the sale of scrap
metals as part of wider efforts to rein in illicit trade and vandalism of
the country's infrastructure.

Cable theft costs the economy about R45bn annually.

The civilian secretariat for the South African Police Service on Friday
moved to amend the Second-Hand Goods Act to tighten laws governing
the trade in second-hand goods and to compel dealers to retain
personal information of sellers of second-hand goods and to set rules
governing auctioneers.

Uhmm no this is to try prevent cable theft.
It's got nothing to do with a war on cash, it just makes it harder for someone to get paid with all that illegal copper
Well, you're just returning to the conventional narrative, now.

I already answered that. See post #5.

Legacy media, working from a script handed to them by the hand that feeds them, cries "little vandals".

The unsuspecting faithful swallow it and regurgitate when someone comes along and points out the bigger vandals in the room.

Sure... what an odd brain you have.

That must be it.

It couldn't possibly be because cash sales can't be tracked.

This is the same as the Cash in transit thread.

It's supposed to enrage you to the point you insist on the abolition of cash.

You should be asking why.

The reason you should be asking why, is because we turn the lights off for 5 years at a time, after agreeing to fund anyone rotten enough - without having the usual market accountability that would be present in a free market - to make spending that wealth, their #1 priority in life.

p.s. and the bar for rottenness is actually far lower than the bad actors would have us believe. It is very low, when you have that much power to spend other peoples wealth, wealth that hasn't even been earned yet.

Civilized people live by the moral principle of innocent until proven guilty, and everyone is equal before the law.... where the law accurately reflects that moral code.

What we have currently, is a few who benefit through the cornering of markets. Otherwise known as cartelization. It only works with an effective legal double-standard.

Those of us late to the party, on this topic, are going to find out.

As obedient as they are, they are not going to be able to avoid confronting that this has been holding us all back for a long time, and that it is coming to the end of the road for those bad economic actors.

We have seen what the erosion of the purchasing power of money has done to other civilizations. Countless times.

When they tell you its different this time, they know you need badly to believe them.

But it's a bed-time story. Designed to keep you compliant and pacified.

Yes, the African Rothschilds are wandering the streets at night opening up streetlights, cutting the wires and pulling out the copper cables. Also doing hits on our substations.

Too much effort, when they can simply increase the price of essential goods like fuel(and every price that depends on fuel... like food) and blame other countries' leaders.

What are the plebs going to do about it? Sweet ****-all, if they don't catch a wake-up.

Notice the fences going up around the handful of supermarket-chains, since the outbreak of Convid? They are preparing for what's coming.

p.s. Small-time crime, when increasing, is a boon to those at the top of the political-crony-hierrchy.... it feeds into the perceived need for greater State intervention into the economy aka central-planning, and the surveillance state.

They create the conditions which ostensibly confirm the need to cull the population.

The average unsuspecting, State-educated person believes the human race learned its lessons from the 20th century during which comfortably North of 250 million people suffered death-by-government.

p.s. That is in the 20th century alone, and excludes war-dead.
