I did a R2,501 bill payment on Monday for those points. Used Fusion to pay Easypay. Got an inContact email to prove it for the 28th. Get an app notification today that it happened on the 1st. And now it shows as the 1st in my transactions.

You can guess what is going to happen...

Lucky I have a buffer this month but yes needs to be a week before the end and avoid the last weekend of the month.

Advantage is I donā€™t need to do it this month so will do the payment at P&P Clothing and make some money.

You must know the rules by now - if you need it to count for points or spend do it min 7 days before month end.

I think bill payment is done based on when the payment was made, not when it was settled. Smart spend and other earn related stuff is based on settlement date.

Check when the points are calculated, I think you'll get the bill payment points

Edit: To clarify this, if the action is FNB App based my experience is that the date of action is used for the allocation of those points. It's the things using industry standard payment rails that uses settlement date

+1 to what sjm said, you should get the points based on the 28th.

My bill payments I purposely made at the end of the month to get the points for that month but then late enough to let it clear for smart spend in the next month.

If you want something to clear in the current month you need to allow five days minimum before month end to be safe(er).

IF I understood the requirements correctly you have to meet spend targets each month of the quarter in order to get the reward in the next quarter. So the first time it will be awarded is in January 2027.

Its kind of ridiculous, if memory serves correctly, the requirement for half price tickets on PW is that one must spend like R14k per month for each month in the quarter. Spend almost R45k in order to have the privilege (or inconvenience) of buying tickets at SK to go watch a movie?
