New Gautrains for R15 billion

French multinational Alstom will manufacture new, upgraded Gautrain trains at its Ekurhuleni facility as well as a new signalling system and provide improved communications as part of its R15 billion contract.

We have to rely on the French as we can't build anything ourselves. This is why I keep insisting that we would still be better off as a colony and paying our tax directly to London or Paris. Even Beijing.

At least they would know how to spend our money instead of buying themselves Hungry Lion lunches.
