R5,779 to say goodbye to a plastic SIM card in South Africa

its still a fact about unusable utter schit - so all it is a fact about is that people want to argue extraneous schit and donkeys balls just for the sake of arguing which makes them utter cants ..... i respect facts if they are usable facts - i really cant give a schit about anything that someone will call a fact when it is totally only purely just donkeys balls
The absolute irony.

Is the phone @Smiggles mentioned, eSIM capable?

Yes or No?

only makri chodus would bother about that - even if it can use an e-sim - once again is it something that you would buy and use - if yes then throw away your other phones and go and buy that POS and enjoy

The absolute irony.

it would only be ironic if you have one of those phones and if you love it and think its the greatest thing since sliced bread - otherwise anything you say about that phone is just utter extraneous irrelevant schit - because even if does have an E-Sim it is otherwise total donkeys balls and would only be purchased by guys who like to suck on donkeys balls

Yes or No.

And try and read for meaning:

The most affordable eSIM-enabled smartphone you can buy

Yes or No.

And try and read for meaning:

anyone with half a brain would easily realize that saying that a phone like this is useful in any meaningful way is just like saying "hey i can go anywhere i want because i have a matchbox model of my dream car that i carry around in my pocket" - but you dont seem to have anything close to a brain - so you see this as an escape clause for your own brand of stupidity

well read this for meaning you mindless cretin if you really want to use an eSim so much and do nothing else with the phone with the brain dead desperation you so display then go and buy the phone and enjoy your eSim

You can buy a brand new esim capable smartphone for R899 or even cheaper. MyBB and you are wrong. Face the facts, admit you're wrong and just move on dear Lord. Also there are zillions of people out in the townships there using these cheap phones.

And here I thought Durban okes are all laid back, one would swear he is from Fourways.

I like the plastic one

But I'll happily move to eSIM if it means getting an iPhone with more battery capacity - an extra 176mAh on the 18 Pro Max and 232mAh on the 18 Pro is significant.

i don't know which township you live in to say that - there are a lot of staff and caregivers where i am staying using better phones than you do and those people really do live in townships - also when i go to the govt hospitals to collect some of my medications from the pharmacy there i see plenty of township dwellers who have better phones than you and me combined

All the domestic workers at the office and the receptionist etc. I had to help sidegrade from one budget phone to the next over 15+ years. Nevermind other data points like:
South Africa’s top mobile network operator, Vodacom, says the Samsung Galaxy A06 was its best-selling smartphone in 2025.

to collect some of my medications from the pharmacy there

Based on your response to me, I assume these are medications for your mental issues?

wow.....

If he is depending on government for that then he has been buying them out for a while, because they are not available in government pharmacies, and if they come in they go out equally fast, because there is a market for them that pays more than the state free issue.

You can also buy a programmable esim (9esim) and use that in a cheap phone.

Also in a router, I have tested that in a ZTE U30 Pro, this router is 5G (mobile, not wifi)
Can you get anything like that in South Africa?
