Best South African stand-up comedians you've seen?

[Smiggles]

Haven't been to a show. Bill Hicks and George Carlin are dead so it's pointless. No modern day comic can compete with those philosophers that also did stand up comedy.

[dualmeister]

Cyril Ramaposer.

[satanboy]

Casper de Vries

[bwana]

South African? I guess Barry Hilton.

[lancon]

The cuzzin and Riaad Moosa.

[Sworaxe]

South African? I guess Barry Hilton.

My cousin!

Barry

[Ecco]

Barry Hilton, Chris Forrest, Joey Rasdien (when he was still a stoner)

I've seen many local comedians live, Kurt Schoonraad and John Vlismas stand out. If you see them on TV or somewhere where they have to mind their Ps and Qs they are not funny at all, but live is a different story.

None...zero...zip....nada.

No such thing.

Barry Hilton was great. Trevor Noah was also very good when he was slumming it at Scottsville Race course in PMB before he went to the states.

I always watch Schalk Bezuidenhout's newest shows and I always leave happy.
I also saw Alfred Adriaan and his show was a lot of fun, if he releases new material ill go watch him again.

I do miss Parkers Comedy club at Monte Casino.

[Hemi300c]

Couldn't even think of a name of a single stand up comedian until this thread reminded me of Casper de Vries. That's how little I care or know about stand up comedy.

But Casper did make me laugh in the past so I guess him.

[SlowInternet]

Barry Hilton is good

[Goosfrabba]

South African Trevor Noah is very funny

American Trevor Noah not so much
