South Africa comes to GTA 6

They could have had something more appropriate like Black Coffee, but decided that a village prayer song is more GTA...

I suspect it has to do with the price of royalties? maybe slightly more obscure artists they could do a once-off fee arrangement rather than pay a cost per stream... speculation.

Think that's why Burna is hosting not playing a song of his, who knows.

That 'woke' hype train won't run any faster than 30 fps in upscaled 4K on PS5 Pro. Hard pass.

That doesn't mean anything tbh. He can be a host and have his songs on the radio station.

Like Kenny Loggins was the host of Los Santos Rock Radio in GTAV and a couple of his songs played on there as well.

And Morgan Wallen is one of the hosts of Back Country Radio in VI and at least one of his songs is in the game.

Just wondering why they chose this SA artist vs others in the same genre that are well known globally.

Because they don't choose their songs based on who or what's the most popular or most famous. And they're def not going to care about choosing the world's best-known SA artists.

And besides, AfroBank's description says "classics and undiscovered gems". Don't know if the song is considered an undiscovered gem but globally it probably is.
