Solar generation in rain/cloudy conditions

House consumption is pretty damn consistent. 200kWh a month.

Battery discharge also is pretty consistent also but dropping as the days get longer. Otherwise, averaging 100kWh a month on the LFP and 50kWh a month on the GELS. Seems as though about 75% of the consumption is at night going off these graphs. Or comes from battery discharge.

3 full months and still haven't crossed a 1000kWh on the inverters yet🤣

Just the pool pump uses around 135kWh over here.

Our one geyser says hello, the other probably uses a bit less although it is bigger, the smart switch on it died'd, twice, so I have no consumpion figures for it...

So just from a savings pov. Been in the house now for 6 months so I can start to get some averages
I decided to go offgrid (95%+) with water and eskom.
So far from real figures ( Based on 6 months of averages )

What I am expecting :
Recurring expenses :
Water R10k every 2 years for iron and calcium in filters
Electricity R60k maximum every 5 years for 2 batteries, realistically may be only 8 to 10 years

The power of high consumption. Drops the payback quicker. My household uses a 3rd of yours and my payback is 2 years. If I had a way of using the power without artificially increasing the load then would be paid off by now. I have 8 months left and then I am fully in the green.

Electric vehicle :)

PTA is cooking today. Just walked outside a bit without a shirt and the UV is hot. Very nice for PV.

If I was there definitely yeah. In UAE fuel is about 18 to 19 rand a litre. Highest ever I believe. A jump from 15.6 which was also considered very high.

Having lived in SA I’m like this is still cheap even though everyone is complaining😂. People are like it must go back to what it was before the war which was around 8 to 10 a litre.
