Russo-Ukrainian War - 2022 Edition - Part 11

Witkoff and Kushner postponed the trip to Moscow due to uncertainty about the positions of Ukraine and Europe, — Axios. Trump’s representatives will not go to negotiations with Putin until they clarify whether Kyiv and European allies are ready to support a new joint peace proposal.

A small nuance: Trump’s “energy ceasefire” concerns only strikes on oil refineries, not the entire energy sector — Ukraine has only one oil refinery, and it is not operating after the strikes.

This was to be expected: the Kremlin rejected Zelensky’s proposal for a 60-day ceasefire to allow elections to be held in UkraineBut the wise geopolitical strategist Trump will, as always, blame Ukraine for everything. As the fable goes: “You are guilty simply because I want to eat.”Every time Kyiv has shown the Americans its willingness to make concessions for the sake of peace, the Kremlin has demonstratively sabotaged all agreements.Putin humiliates Trump with particular cynicism, while Trump prefers to pretend that nothing is happening. What a disgrace...
