He was actually a main character in the single season spin-off The Golden Palace which I watched for the first time earlier this year. Didn't even know it existed. It was pretty good and funny. Afaik, Cheech was never in Golden Girls.

If it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t have known about Sicily and its amazing history.
How ironic, I'm busy watching this (almost done) and just recently discovered this spin off show as well. I'm enjoying it, and there are some funny jokes to be had all round. Cheech also referring back to his Chong days and weed. Of course this show didn't have enough staying power, mostly due to Dorothy not being part of the show, even with the strong cast they had without her. Oh well, at least we have 24 episodes.
