I should have anticipated this question. Why are you asking me about the ANC?

I don't support Cape independence or any party or movement in support of that idea.
I never said, or mentioned Cape Independence, do scroll back to my question would you.
It wasn't a trick question, you made it awkward and weird with your answer.

I'm asking about the ANC because you said "South African government irrespective of colour, gender or religion" meaning even the ANC qualities under your definition.

Not worth the time arguing with someone whose worldview is formed by others and fake news

A good way to say that they've achieved nothing in 20 years, which is why they didn't bother registering, as they knew they have only family and a few lunatics as supporters, and they'd lose their deposit.

Have you bothered to ask them what they prefer?

We are all witness to what they prefer, decades of their voting have revealed that what I've just said is accurate.

As for the rest of your puffed-up post - don't drag human rights into it, it's not the subject under focus in this sub-discussion of ours. That's low

Think it might also be because their funders expected a passable ROI and CI have been even more incompetent than the ANC at achieving anything of any use.

The SAn constitution has been ambiguous from the start...

And that is the reason why we are falling further and further behind the rest of the world.

Seems, too that most people are unsatisfied with this kind of ambiguity, that affects them on a daily basis .....

Exactly. I'm not sure why anyone would want to be represented by a party that is clearly useless and incompetent anyway.

You heard it here, folks.... "don't drag human rights into a discussion on the peoples' preferences"

Got that?

:X3:

Sadly, when it comes to the main focus in the OP article there's little chance of that now - with the new head of CIM affairs practically being the FF+ in reality now, and they not wanting to tread that independence path quite yet, if ever.

I say sadly as there should be a strong possibility, just getting FF+ into power won't be enough as it could take decades for further federal-like or secession-like action to find any footing.
But the WC-ians have spoken in the last national election, so it's very likely that's the end of that.

@lexity , you still believe that a referendum is the way to give CI feet - with the above in mind, how do you expect attitudes to change when it comes to actual voting day?

I best add that as we all know, the polls CIAG have conducted through the years show the opposite of the lethargy(?) WC-ians expressed in the last national election. Some of us believe that's due to the new, more real pressures actual voting delivered.

Nothing weird about my answer. You asked who should run the Cape. Anyone. Tshifhularo, Mzilikazi, Andries, Dylan, etc.

I don't espouse anything CIP party is working towards so I'd prefer that the Cape stay South African province. Sorry if the response wasn't clear enough.

would the 1 million squatters vote in this referendum?

The absolute hubris.....

Neither you nor I, nor any SAn can afford to rely on his crystal ball.

That is not what a referendum is about.

If you could rely on your crystal ball to by-pass a referendum, then by that logic your crystal ball would be good enough to by-pass a general election, too.

You true, anti-democratic colors are showing.

What a shame.

The people of the Western Cape are asked every few years who they'd like to govern the Western Cape, and they choose the DA.

Yet we still have people here retarded enough to keep asking what the people of the Western Cape want.

Our local MyBB loons feel that what the people want is wrong, that what they really want is something different, and what they think the people should want is in fact the will of the people, despite the actual people saying otherwise.

When they don't want the DA anymore, they'll vote for someone else. Get over it.
