They're mostly just personality traits and you either have them or you don't.

Perseverance - the ability to ignore people who tell you you're doing the wrong thing.

Realism - knowing that there will be setbacks and not being broken by them when they happen.

Resilience - self employment deals you some nasty blows along the way and that's normal. It's how long you take to recover and get back in the saddle that counts.
