Don't really know. This whole solar thing is very new to me. I suppose I'll find out soon enough.
what kind of meter do you have? are you on prepaid?

My mind is totally blown!
Are you eskom direct or munic supplied? City of Cape Town munic limits your injection to 25% of the Amp rating of your supply. e.g. with an 80A supply, you can only inject 20A (circa 4.6kVA)It is an old mechnical rotating kWh type.
I put together a little combined dashboard/control panel for a Kindle Fire that I got here from @AlpineLemming60 a while ago. Still fiddling, but as it lives on my office desk it allows me to control some NB controls and see my power stats at a glance.

I used an app called Fully Kiosk Browser to load a specific webpage in Kiosk mode with the dashboard URL in HA.Hmm I’ve got two of these Fire’s I’ve been meaning to get to.
Did you do the whole install Google Play store hack to install HA?
Or doing it some other way?

I think I sideloaded it IIRCAah I knew about this app but figured it still needs Google Play.
Excellent.
I think I sideloaded it IIRC
Yeah, those Kindle Fire's are starting to show their age. Works perfectly fine as a static dashboard though, even with moving elements it seems happy.
I must look into that. I still use a Kiosk Mode plugin (that loads Kiosk mode by entering your URL with ?kiosk appended) so I can probably do away with that as well.
This is nice, I have a few places where I need to combine entities from different devices. For instance local tuya to get power usage and normal tuya for control.I thought this was quite nice :
It lets you combine entities from different devices into your own custom single device.
Great success. The reset improved it drastically and I suspect the kids mode layer was eating a lot of resources so not setting that up made quite the difference.
Yeah I just downloaded the HA app and set it up normally. It moaned about the full version needing the store and to install minimal instead so I did that which doesn’t seem to have the same Kiosk options as on my iOS devices so not sure if it’s a version difference or an Android difference.
Still does the job and runs full screen happily.
Great success.
At least they still have some use in the modern day. Now to build a nice wall mount for it and place it somewhere central.
This will be my next project: https://community.home-assistant.io...n-app-for-wall-mounted-tablets-android/702246
