The ANC plan to strip people of their citizenship if they criticise South Africa

You actively ignored the part everyone is having kittens over. Were you joking here or purposefully trying to be dishonest?

Let me highlight the absolutely batschit insane part for you so you don't miss it this time:

You should 100% be free to criticise SA, or her government, abroad or otherwise. You have the right to freedom of expression. This ANC idiot can get fscked.

Penalties for criticising a sitting government is a very very dangerous thing.
I swear bro, okes are fixated on the smallest of shıt lmao. If you are legitimately worried about that, you have no clue what's happening here.

If a group was actively working with Russia or China in the US, it would have been deemed illegal, and its members arrested.

What in the fυck are you on about.

The UK banned a group, and has arrested people, for showing support for Gaza lmao
Depends on what you mean by working, and to what ends. To overthrow the government, sure, that fits the definition. To trade, no.

In any event those countries foreign policies have nothing to do with us. We are officially non-aligned and therefore have no natural enemies (supposedly).

Any person or group is therefore free to engage with anyone abroad - the outcome determines whether it was treason on not. And last I checked these guys, as dumb as they are with their white genocide BS, didn't work to overthrow the government...

I think you're the one that has no clue.

Do you agree with the bit I pointed out to you? Do you think that's an acceptable thing for a government to do?

Note I haven't asked about what you think the statement means if you read between the lines. Read the actual statement (that if you criticise SA abroad you should lose your citizenship) and tell me whether or not you think that's acceptable behaviour for a government in a Constitutional democracy.

The reality is that no politician or party representative should ever say what this fellow said. No political entity should ever be above criticism.

The US is currently putting political pressure, and threatening to sanction South Africa, because the country took Israel to the ICJ...while pretending it's about farm murders.

Economic sanctions are a direct form of hybrid war, especially from the US. They are literally threatening us with it.
No, they are threatening to sanction certain politicians, not the country. Big difference. The ANC is not South Africa, that's what this muppet in the article seems to think too. They are not our enemies or we wouldnt have free trade with them. If those ANC politicians are pissed about being sanctioned, they are free to sanction Trompie and his circus too...

Afriforum currently helps add to the ammunition the US needs to do its covert political pressure campaign.

Also, that's not to say the ZA gov. reaction to it has been clever.

What they should have done instead of reacting like this, like complete retards, is to take agency away from Afriforum, to publicaly announce that they would talk to them, to open an investigation, to pretend to take it seriously...to essentially contain them.

But no...we have the most retarded politicians who say dumb shıt like this, which does nothing but give more ammunition to the US, as well as fodder for online gibbons to chimp out about on MyBB (this is a joke) and X (this is not a joke).

Absolute waste of time lol.

There are no criminal penalties or legal punishments for simply criticising the sitting South African government, its policies, or its leaders.

  • Freedom of Expression: Section 16 of the South African Constitution guarantees freedom of expression, which explicitly protects the right to free press, artistic creativity, academic freedom, and receive or impart information or ideas.
  • Political & Public Discourse: Public officials and politicians are expected to tolerate robust, caustic, or severe public criticism. Criticising government performance is a core pillar of South Africa's constitutional democracy.
  • Protest and Dissent: Section 17 of the Constitution and the Regulation of Gatherings Act protect the right of citizens to peacefully and unarmed assemble, demonstrate, and express public views.

They are quite literally the same thing. A foreign country is trying to affect the internal politics of another country.
This is not new. And I'm sure the people being oppressed by apartheid back in the day were happy for the external help. I was too young to properly know what was going on, I never physically saw any beatings or anything like that with my own eyes (that I can remember). Apartheid was an objectively bad thing.

If you think so that's very disturbing.

Whenever anyone in a position of political power says something like that we should all be very concerned.
We are far from the threat being real. Very far.

As I said, these are retards using words they don't understand. This is a legitimate threat in the toolbox of threats, but of course...played way too early because...well, look at them.

Countries do this. Regarding Israel criticism btw. It never happened, because it wasn't meant to happen. This is how politicians give warnings in a more clever way.

Nope, the US is not at war with either China or Russia.

. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)
  • Political or Lobbied Work: If you are acting as an "agent of a foreign principal" (including the Chinese government or political parties) within the United States to influence U.S. policy, public relations, or political activities, you may be required to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) administered by the Department of Justice. Failing to register for political lobbying or public-influencing work on behalf of a foreign government carries serious legal penalties.
So not illegal, you simply have to state that that you are lobbying on their behalf

What in the fυck are you on about.
Lol

The UK didnt ban anyone for supporting Palestine, they designated a group as terrorists after they broke into an RAF base.
