Most expensive car to drive in South Africa with petrol at R30.25 per litre

"While the Purosangue might reach its destination much more quickly, these cheaper cars can travel about four times as far on the same amount of fuel."

Not a f**ing chance it'll be faster, not in this country.
You'll be buying KFC streetwise two's and cokes every 50-100km on your way to Durban.

As for cars like the Celerio.
This country is f**ed in the head, I swear. Over R180K for a "cheap" little runaround with 71K on the clock.
Bloody ridiculous.

What we need more than anything, especially in the cities, is a culture change where more middle and upper class people start taking things like scooters etc. seriously. Was chatting to my brother the other day and told him how much I hate myself for spending 17 years in JHB traffic, mostly backroads, and never having the realization that for much of the year I could have just commuted on a scooter, bike or something.

As far as the target market is concerned, they've made it, no need to improve.
As we all know, someone will be building dyson spheres around proxima centauri and SA will still be carting people around in Hiaces.

In what world would these expensive cars be driven these sort of distances? Also who cares about the fuel price if you’re spending orders of magnitude more for the cars themselves.

If you’re looking at the efficient use of money rather fly. It’s cheaper. Hire car included.

Jirre the Ford Raptor has become the epitome of unnecessary excess.
I'm actually interested to see where this ends, 'cause I'm not sure there is an end.

That thing is an F-150 Raptor from the States. N/A

The end? The end is at the nearest filling station, usually, if you don't plan accordingly.

And I am saying this from experience. If you don't plan your trip according to the Raptor's consumption, you're gonna step in shiiit.

But again, it all depends on how you drive the thing. I can get anywhere from 350km to 550ish km on a tank.
