Things that irritate you - Part 4

On the way to work, the second car (old) gave up. I pushed it to the side, opened the bonnet, and found no water where it should be; it had cooked itself and sprayed water everywhere. No warnings, nothing. Turns out the thermostat that was supposed to be replaced 4 months ago in service wasn't. Luckily, nothing seized; it still turns over but doesn't actually start. The head has warped, and there is water in the chambers. Expensive work because the mechanic didn't do what I asked.

Work on the head isn't going to be cheap.
 
Eish project manager and "architect" back in June hear that my testing for the scripts will produce about 24 000 results in a day, goes and tells the big boss this means it will take 100 days for X. I'm like this is my alpha, it's not even beta it's for testing. I manage to get it down to 12 days across 5 streams, apparently still not fast enough.
I manage to come up with a way to update the results every 5 minutes if needed while the original is still running, apparently it needs to be a minute, my poor DB.
 
Placed an order on BoB, next day placed an order on Aliexpress.

Got my Aliexpress 2 days ago.

BoB? Awaiting courier after 9 days.

All orders after the above? Delivered within 3 days.

The problem? The wasted time and then the wasted time for a refund.

I've stopped using BoB for that exact reason. Temu orders gets delivered faster
