Capitec - power of attorney for my wife?

Go to Nedbank then. Unless your wife won't allow you to use Nedbank?
See my post above. I've just come from Nedbank for good reason.
Anyway, I'm ignoring you okes who can't read or understand a simple question.
Next you're going to start asking me about my Cholesterol reading and whether it's related.

Just to re-iterate, here's the question:

Is it possible to give my wife power of attorney / signing power to a Captiec account so that they can install the app on their phone, transact on the account and perform general banking duties without my presence (e.g. if I'm travelling)?

If you don't know, there's no need to post.

Nedbank is an existing account. My bond and my car are handled through them. The Capitec account was opened because Nedbank charge me R1000 to receive my salary. That's a bank charge for a single transaction... and that changed silently without letting me know in June this year. Before June I was paying R350 for the same transaction.

Captiec charge me R450 so that's over R500 a month saved in bank charges in that single transaction, so yes, I have a Nedbank and a Captiec account and don't want another account.
Why are both banks ripping you off so much just to receive your salary?!
Why not open a near free FNB Aspire acc and have it deposited there?

If you want to do forex transactions: pay the fees for it, like everyone else has to
If you want nice banking features: pay the fees for it, like everyone else has to

Don't be a cheapskate masekind. You can't pay Wimpy prices and expect Cattle Baron food.

You should consider the extra R500 per month from Nedbank well worth your money because you are paying for time and convenience.

LMAO. I must pay R1000 a month while my colleagues pay R350 - R450 per month? If that's you, then knock yourself out.

It's a bank account. Cattle Baron is your idea of fancy? That explains a lot lol.

It's not about R500 per month, it's about wasting 12 hours of my life at $85 per hour trying to get an honest answer from them as to why the goalposts shifted without announcement. It took 3 months and multiple calls to get a straight answer from the call center. Each time I had to call back to be subject to the same questions. I'm not paying any more than I should for that. Hamba.

Again, if that's you, get on with your life by all means, don't let me stop you.

Yes 26 million clients are all wrong. Lol madness.

Geezus stop being so anal, just phone them or go into a branch yourself and ask, it’s not that hard.
HAHAHAHA
Another one with nothing better to do.
If you have no experience or answer, just say so. If your time is worth so little, keep at it.

If you want to carry on acting like an idiot and not ask the actual source for the info you need then by all means go right ahead

WOT ???? how ? why ?

R1k for incomming ?
Yep. Used to be R350 per month. Now it's R1k. As for the why, it took ages to get them to actually figure it out themselves. The sending party switched their intermediary bank to one that Nedbank doesn't have an agreement with so Nedbank passed the extra charge on to me silently.

And that's R1k with a shared fee. The sending party pays half of the fee. That R1k is my "half" apparently.
FNB, Absa, Captiec, Standard bank all charging the same as before.
