South Africa’s billionaire DStv founder under siege in the UK

Why don't these old rich farts ever retire?
Because they (billionaires) are literally psychopaths. They will never stop unless we stop them.

[Insert guillotine meme here]

Money is power and nobody should have this much power. Lots of money sure, no prob. But enough to literally buy villages... That's just mini Imperialism.

So billionaires are psychopaths because they're wealthy, and you're fantasising about executing people for having money.

Pretty sick mind you have there.

Well, they're unlikely to be gentle and kind

Read the guardian article about this and by most accounts it seems like a profit over everything else operation. That’s not something that goes down well with “rural” folk at all.
Understated and responsible is more their flavour. As a norm, any expansion and development is contested and that to me is a good thing.

So they are basically complaining that he's uplifting the area, and they don't like it.

But I know how the press operates. I bet that if you actually do a survey, you'll find 2 people were mildly unhappy, and 1000 were fine with it.

'Huge outcry as billionaire does X' : The outcry = 1 old fart moaning about his cow paddy.

Makes good sense.

It's about power both sides of the fence though.
Clarkson's Farm is a nice example of the opposite happening (last I saw), was more about small community leaders' power games and their influence on the gullible public.

There is that too. Don’t watch the show but live and work around farming here.
Overall my observations say it leads to more responsible growth and less pure greed.
Pesticides as an example in the article is a big no-no.

No, because their wealth is built on exploitation of the labour of others. Not their own hard work.

You might like living under their boot but I don't.

Wealth is fine. Extreme wealth is slavery.

But strawman what I'm saying some more.

He's not uplifting it. He is buying it and pricing them out. They have lived there for generations. You ok with that? Really?

Even sicker and dumber than I thought.

Democratic Marxism will do that.
