Have you replaced your green ID book?

[Jean Claude Vaaldamme]

No

[Dimpie (JIGSAW)]

When you need to fica again or change your address at a crypto exchange or open a bank account etc. etc.

That's all online, so once again, WHY carry it around

[MalicE]

Got both my ID card and passort this year. Pretty effortless and fast with online bookings and going to STD Bank. ID was ready in 2 weeks and Passport in 1

N/A

[AnimateX]

Yes, but only because I washed my ID book too many times and it stop being accepted. Think it was issued 27 years ago. The new card feels weird though, do you only photocopy the front for proof for opening accounts or do you have to do the back as well.

Both

Early adopter. My green ID book had fallen in one too many rivers.

[thestaggy]

Yep, back in 2022.

Done it through Absa.

The purpose and use are public knowledge for anyone bother to read Un agenda's 2030, 2040 and 2050 etc. no need for tin foil.

[zerocool2009]

Not yet! Will apply once the freeze my bank account

[Script]

Yes, got mine awhile ago, can't say that I use it often.

[Pegging]

Went to Capitec a few days ago to apply at the machine. Took about 5 minutes

[RedViking]

Only Capitec available here and no smart id facilities at home affairs. Not keen to open a Capitec Account just to get a dumb ID

[borro]

Replaced it with cats

[WoodWhisperer]

Doesn't the covid vax chip they injected replace all that?

If you struggle to get an appointment to get the new ID, go to Capitec, open an account, apply for new ID, collect about two weeks later and close the Capitec account if you do not want to keep it.

[Decarin]

No not yet, but might as well do it
