Acting Minister of Police, Firoz Cachalia, said that the 1.4% white and 1.2% Indian candidates in the Police Service recruitment intake were below target.

How many applied?... doubt many want to be associated with the corruption in the police force and government to start off with, others do not want to be involved in a police force that seems to make up the law as it goes along. I have to deal with the police as part of my work and have built up a list of names and numbers of officers who do their jobs, because walking into a charge office and talking to whoever is on duty at the counter seldom works out the way you think it will.
