3d Printers South Africa

is it one of those types of cad programs that use geometries instead lines and extrusion etc?
It's a tinkercad clone with more features like hollowing, champers, allows you to import a photo to schetch over it etc. Also supports bigger files that tinkercad It's more advanced tinkercad.

F**k you Mr. Bacteria, that's 3 months of my life I'll never get back.

RaptorSA's back from the dead motherf**ers!
Here to annoy you with my latest Dinosaur print project.... in fact, I won't harp in about this, but things have happened behind the scenes and when you see me post future Dinosaur or other related prehistoric prints, there's a good chance you won't ever see that again from anywhere else.

Anyway, well be doing Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus.... I held off on this one for a very long time, but, we're actually, finally, understanding what this thing looked like.

This one's going to be interesting, since it's swimming/wading I'd have to figure that all out.
Lekker.

Made a small tool to fit on a 13mm socket with fits on a cheap electric screwdriver I bought (off the bargains or tool thread).

Made one to take off the wheel lugs on the cars (after using the spanner to break them loose.
Another to work the jack(again when theres actual load I need to do it by hand).
Then saw I could combine the 2.

I bit the bullet and bought TPU for recreational use this weekend. Quite a learning curve, as the standard profiles didn’t work at all. Ended up with this and cannot be happier about the outcome!

Looks good. What TPU did you use?

Man so many vibe coded apps popping up all over that it's hard to keep up.

Here is a good tinkercad alternative
I was starting to use this earlier tonight and had a quick glance at the help when I was stuck on something and stumbled across the section that mentions a MCP is available..

And now I am sitting at my desk watching Claude opening Layerling in my browser and sketching my described design for me..

any good utilities for creating gears? i have not tried it on Freecad yet, so will see.
I can try my commercial cad package but id prefer something free & open for my personal use.

The gears workbench is not there by default but if you add it it works well.
OpenScad also has some nice gear scripts Ive used.

Also saw that its has MCP support. Still wanted to try it. How did it work for you?

Got my first roll too a few days ago.
The stuff isn't cheap so will likely just use it for small stuff here and there.

Thinking of starting with some anti vibration feet for an external HDD dock that's a bit noisy on my one wood desk. The fact that you have to feed it from a separate spool and I can't use the AMS Lite is a bit of an annoyance though.

You'll probably want to dry it first. I had problems printing TPU until I dried it.

I am in the market for a dryer - what are you guys using? I am looking at the Creality Space Pi SE or Space Pi 2.

Also, what are the specs of your computers used for slicing? I have a Ryzen 5 3400G with 16GB RAM, that is struggling with the more complex stuff...

What's funny is, each time I look at the pricing for 3D filament driers all I see is a ripoff.
I'm thinking of just getting one of these.
Adjustable from 40 - 200 Celsius should do it.
