Dark clouds over Game in South Africa

Game kissing their customers goodbye would have been a MASSIVE winner here as a title
 
The only people who go to Game are those who happen to live close by or something.
The same exact Massmart slop is pretty much available from any of the other Massmart outlets.

They clearly don't understand the true reasons for people not wanting to shop there if they think the Walmart rebranding is going to fix it. The entire thing just feels like a holdover from the 90's when the concept of malls still felt new and giant retail box stores was a family shopping event, instead of a slog to get to something that has better alternatives online.

People are also sick and tired of the same Massmart products decade after decade. You can spot a Massmart product a mile away and we've all seen the same Massmart products in people's homes and gardens for decades now.
There's a reason places like Leroy Merlin are doing so well.

Popped into game looking for something on the weekend and was told they had scrapped their price beat even though it's still listed on their website... Would rather have a customer walk out the door.
 
It's simple, they can't outprice the chinese on cheap crap, and the chinese shops are popping up everywhere.
If you take that away you're basically left with hi-fi corporation.
