They were white and Christian though, so they were surely welcome as they would assimilate into local culture and not try to take over.

What I cannot understand is how you can willingly allow someone else in to your house, they destroy your property and make demands, and you sit back and do nothing about it.

What's done is done, let bygones be bygones, it's all in the past, that's ancient history, no hard feelings, bury the hatchet, turn the page, put it behind you, the past is the past, a thing of the past, let sleeping dogs lie, don't cry over spilt milk, time heals all wounds, move on and don't look back, close that chapter, make peace with the past, water off a duck's back, that ship has sailed, yesterday's news, old news, beating a dead horse, don't rake over old coals, kiss and make up, all is forgiven, we're good, that's a bridge we've already crossed, we've flogged that horse enough.

No AI was hurt in producing above expressions but your reluctance in blaming non-whites & muslims for these riots is noted.
