Ban people in South Africa from using Temu and Shein

Surely cosatu realize that :
1. factories for the production of all the products shein/temu sell need to be built.
2. Machinery purchased.
3. Workers need to be trained to effectively operate these machines to create products.
4. Admin/marketing/accounting/management staff need to be trained and employed
5. Transport / retail environments need to be created.

This all needs to be done before shein/temu is cancelled. Should I go on? Pie in the sky!

Maybe ban the low quality drop shippers on Takealot, bobshop and Amazon. With Temu you at least know what you are getting yourself into.

Case in point the following on Takealot:Fake ssd. I mean you can report to takealot but they don't care. They take zero responsibility for listings.

link is broken

Oh my F%. Where did these farking idiots come from?
Cosatu membership is dwindling and therefore the fat cats cannot afford their bond and car repayments. Governement has certainly created millions of jobs and we have such cheap goods that we don't need Temu Shein etc.

I just cannot believe this kak!

Takealot, USB cable on my wish list, shows price of R266.00, when you put it in your cart, it is R310.00. Then their shipping costs you R90.00.

The picture shows the USB connector plugs as gold plated. Item arrives. Connector plugs are standard silver.

At least I did not wait 26 days for delivery this time round.

With that level of local service, no wonder every one wants to remove the competition, that Temu/Shein represent.

Maybe if Cosatu didn't actively agitate for the ridiculous labour laws that we have there would actually be some incentive for people to invest their capital into labour-intensive industries like manufacturing in South Africa. As it stands at the moment there is zero incentive to run a factory with hundreds of workers in South Africa. That is just hundreds of headaches that nobody wants or needs.
