Fires break out at French schools as students protest nationwide

Looks like Paris can do with a bit of carpet bombing. If you're a rioter, you need to go. If you're not a rioter, and you haven't done anything to preserve your city, you have to go. The remaining 0,5% is collateral damage.

That was SO LONG AGO though.

What's done is done, let bygones be bygones, it's all in the past, that's ancient history, no hard feelings, bury the hatchet, turn the page, put it behind you, the past is the past, a thing of the past, let sleeping dogs lie, don't cry over spilt milk, time heals all wounds, move on and don't look back, close that chapter, make peace with the past, water off a duck's back, that ship has sailed, yesterday's news, old news, beating a dead horse, don't rake over old coals, kiss and make up, all is forgiven, we're good, that's a bridge we've already crossed, we've flogged that horse enough.

No AI was hurt in producing above expressions but your reluctance in blaming non-whites & muslims for these riots is noted.

Did the who-ites set up a tea plantation smack bang where the Taj Ma-Bob was destined to be?

:p

Did I miss something about this woman.

Didn't she confront looters?

Sounds like there were parts of France actually protesting - as opposed to opportunistic looters, or politically motivated economic immigrants - the results of budget changes/reductions.... which is something the French are known for.

Social welfare is addictive. So one would expect the French middle-class to get uppity about it.

But AFAICS this woman was just confronting opportunists saying you are ****ed in the head, this is not what the protests are about. (Totally ineffectual ofc but that's what she was doing that made her famous/infamous).

Admittedly paying attention between tending to the outer world, locally, so what did I miss?

Word around the campfire is the she's a pro-immigration, open borders, defund the police activist, and has now become the face of FAFO and "you get what you vote for". Basically, she wanted them to loot shops, just not hers.

Yes, the quote I've seen (it is a translation obviously) is that she stood up for "people like them". Lol. Paris itself, like many urban centres in Europe, has long been a left-wing bastion.

I see France think that lockdowns are the solution. They won't be able to seperate the wolves. On whom are these constraints placed? The minors???

All they are doing is creating pockets. They should say it; they don't have enough police, and when you don't have the police... well, you know who. I still want to know why private security is so scarce in France??? No, bouncers don't count. France has everything it needs to build a private security network through its gendarmerie and military channels.

An ill-equipped nation on the domestic side.
