The booking . com was ruling was interesting. Though it isn't applicable to digital vs physical retail. Yes, sure, price alignment is a possibility, but that doesn't explain the pricing now applicable to games that aren't available on physical media.
Also, MS Gaming punted xCloud and consoles again... For them, the only really reason to support PC is due to Europe and Japan, so now they are promoting xCloud. Gaming companies have long tried to make cloud gaming the most attractive option. The DRAM situation is being exploited to promote alternate services.
In MS Gaming's case, sure, increase the prices to drive Game Pass adoption in territories. Not everyone is in that pool. Though you can count EA, and Ubi, among Game Pass, though they have way more decent discounts than MS Gaming.
Now exclusives are back on the menu, and it has garnered much support. I think it is crazy, but hey, MS wants to sell XBOX, Sony wants to sell PlayStation, and Nintendo sells Nintendo. The problem is that third-party exclusives are now being dangled...
What these people want the market to be, is crazy. Forced adoption is wrong, as is the ZAR pricing. My big problem is that digital media or content can be managed to PPP. This is why I question as to why SA is not being treated as an emerging market anymore? I am pretty sure that ZAR abuse is a problem that publishers, and distributors, don't know how to address. It is the same thing with coupons being pulled due to scammers.
