Xbox 5 for R33,955, and Elon Musk allegedly throttled Starlink in Ukraine

The article title says Xbox 5. So we had xbox, xbox 360, xbox one, (do xbox one s/x count? i feel like they're just xbox ones?), xbox series s/x. And what xbox 5, that'll compete with a PS6 I guess? Makes no sense to me. I mean at this point there's really no meaning to the numbers, right, just call it xbox 6 to compete with the PS6? (edit: or xbox one + 5? that should be confusing enough)

Why would you think the Series is a One? Do you think the PS4 Pro is a PS5?

Technology and everything associated with it has become weaponised , mainly due to US policy. It is understandable to a certain extent, they are after all the leaders in innovation ,in many areas.

The problem though is that the 88% who live outside the west have good reason to be be very wary of them and using the tech for sensitive applications .I think that overall humanity will benefit in the long term as more nations look to become self sufficient and not rely on the west to the same extent as before. It's happening already, at a pace not seen before.

I don't, maybe you misread or I was less clear than I'd hoped to be. I said xbox one s/x, which I count as still an xbox one. And I said xbox series s/x, which I counted as separate to the xbox one.

Ah ook yeah it was a bit jumbled.

Starlink and its 12 year old Billionaire/Trillionaire boss is the perfect example of why I've been trying to explain to people that even though the ANC doesn't want Starlink in the country for all the wrong reasons, I won't be shedding a single tear over it.

If Starlink was allowed here and the pricing + economies of scale made it more and more viable for many, you'd just end up eroding the pressure on using local capital to roll out proper solutions for critical infrastructure. And all it would take is for one politician on Twatter to p*ss of little Elon at the wrong time, and one request later large parts of your country goes dark... or gets told it might happen.

The end of that tunnel would have always resulted in some form of leverage and even the potential erosion of sovereignty in some form. It just isn't worth it.

So Musk is actually a good guy after all and I support his decision. Without drones, Ukraine's depleted forces have no chance against the Russians. Cue all the Musk fanboys suddenly turning on their beloved hero as they worship the sleazebag clown Zelensky, always buying into the Western media's propaganda nonsense.

Keep in mind that Musk could just as easily throttle Starlink in South Africa as he probably still holds a grudge against all of us. Do you want to take that risk?

There is no way the next Xbox will cost over $1200 as who would buy it? RAM and SSD prices are likely to decrease by 2028.

$1200-$1800

Nobody is going to buy it unless it allows dual-boot to Windows and full access to the Steam Store, which I can tell you now it won't.

The next Xbox is in for an even worse gen than this one if they think people will be paying that for Bethesda slop.
