My poor lad.Offended, no, just that I work, 15 - 18 hours a day, in one, and there is no way, it can be described as a hell hole. But I am aware of a few that could qualify.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, SA rugby gets basically no state support. They make their money through the ticket sales and the sponsorship deals from the private sector.
SABC can barely afford to pay salaries, let alone fork out for rights to rugby games.
If SABC wants any hope of broadcasting rugby games the state needs to start putting more support behind rugby. Give them viable alternative funding.
Won't happen. So this is all just pointless talk.
The Premium package is effectively dead already. You were propably being sarcastic here... but just in case - they will never do it because then the Premium package will in essence be dead, I suspect a very big percantage of "premium" subscribers are rugby fans who only pay for premium to get the rugby.
I wonder how much the rugby is "worth" to dstv? Netflix / Amazon / Disney can essentially provide the equivalent of the DSTV premium package for R 100 - R 150 pm.
It makes sense to keep the away games Premium only as there is less demand for them and far less hype. Most South Africans don't even know who we are playing in November. What about away Springbok games? Anyway, to be an elite, all you need is to find someone to share your premium account with so only R400pm.

They can broadcast the games a few hours later,.
If its delayed by 3 to 5 hours its apparently 50% to 80% cheaper.
