United States warns of new sanctions against South Africa

Will only affect the general population and the cadre's will simply change "working holiday" destinations.

Given the US response to date it isn't against South Africa, it is against the cadre, and the average South African really doesn't care.

Tarrifs have already impacted multiple industries.

It is a mistake to think this little tiff affects *only* the cANCer
Not talking Tariffs, talking current US sanctions against the ANC which are specifically against specific classes of people. Reality is also that ANC policy has done more damage to the country than US tariffs have anyway.

ja but
At the same time, exporters are increasingly selling into other markets.

While citrus exports to the US declined by 10,300 tonnes, or 8%, exports to the rest of Africa increased by 17,800 tonnes, or 40%, over the same period. Citrus exports to Asia increased by 111,000 tonnes, or 21%.

The province also reported that the value of grape exports to the rest of Africa increased by 30%, or R119m, while wine increased by 19%, or R184m, and yachts by 4%, or R5m.

It said those gains had not yet replaced the losses in the US market, although yacht exports to Europe were also showing growth.

Despite the 41% decline in exports to the US, the province said the value of Western Cape exports to all markets increased by 5.4% over the rolling period.

I'm not saying its a good then but looks like we are able to work around it.

Problem with any sanctions is they will be used as a political battering ram against an unedcuated population about the evil USA and how it sanctions South Africa. They will gloss over the fact that it would be specific people only.
