Australian cricket tour of South Africa September/October 2026

How fitting is it that it's Jansen who finishes the Test match and hands South Africa a famous victory in Port Elizabeth. He shifted the momentum in South Africa's favour in the first innings with a five-wicket haul and then...

Jansen started the shift in his innings batting. Massive credit and thanks to Themba Bavuma though for digging this match out of the mud. Whattaplaya.

i like this midweek starts cos i can watch while i work ..but not good for the stadiums

Had the game on my big screen in the office. Had to switch it to the iPad cause "it's a distraction to others, and they are not working"

MotM?

This is an occasion I would love it to go two. Marco and Themba.

[dabbler]

Good win guys.

I love that Mulder took the key wickets of Head and Boland.

They were prepared for the ‘main’ and he surprised them.

[Puffy_Nipples]

Really great test. Fun to watch and chill out on.

[Binary_Bark]

Finished just in time, getting really dark now

[Binary_Bark]

MotM, Themba, well deserved. Good work Themba

Greatest test of all time ?

We beat the Ausies and the rain.

Pity I had to not watch it for us to win

Missed the game as no tv allowed in the office. Will check out the highlights package tonight.

Still Sydney for me...defending 117 to win by 5.

But this is up there.

[Stephen]

Well done lads.

Suck it to the usual doom and gloomers

Sometimes you have to take one for the team.

We salute your sacrifice

In other words everyone in this forum?

[dabbler]

Pity there weren't more spectators. Bit sad.

Interesting what kind of a wicket is prepped at Newlands. It seems to be one of extremes. Teams either score huge runs or get skittled. Over 1300 runs were scored in the test against Pakistan, but a paltry 464 when India was here.

[Werner1975]

Not everyone but I did have doubts

[WaxLyrical]

Boland probably fancies himself as an opener now. Last few have been decidedly shiit.
Only opener other opener in form now is cough....Sandpaper Bancroft.
