500Mbps Internet for camps in the middle of a desert in South Africa

This is pretty funny considering they don't offer any Wifi packages better than 15mbit.

Yea which is precisely why I'm giving them schit for only offering 15mbit packages. There are wifi solutions that will give you multiple gbit backhaul. Some US WISPS are offering 500mbit up to gbit packages for residential use.

Whats our excuse?
 
Only delusional Musk fanboys are still waiting on Starlink while Herotel are taking action and providing high speed Internet to rural areas. Once Leo launches here, there will be zero need for Starlink but you can't explain this to the Musk fanboys waiting for free trips to Mars and for Tesla to launch locally.

Bezos is awesome and I love Amazon. 2027 or so they have stated. They will use their own rockets.

Amazon replaced Takealot for me with their free deliveries and I mostly only play the games they provide on GOG, Epic and uh, their own gaming client. So I will be quite happy to live in my own custom built rondavel with indoor plumbing in Limpopo and use Leo.

Bargain bruv. You might be able to do a single 1080p stream at a time. Starlink is clearly for suckers - Who needs 400mbit anyway?

Oh wait look - that's almost the sum total of the bandwidth they are providing for this event. A single starlink dish could have provided the backhaul for this whole event.
 
And here little old me thought getting out into the sticks was exactly about getting away from an internet connection....

It would only take a week to download GTA 6 at that insane speed. You might break your Internet if you went any faster.
