Doesnt surprise me. Their processes are terrible. They don't verify email addresses before sending information. They don't have a proper process for you to report that you received information in error. I have a common name and surname which means I get a metric ton of misaddressed mail on my Gmail. Including about 5 people over the years that banked with FNB. It is impossible to ask FNB to correct it because every time I contact them they want *my* ID number to correct *my* details instead of looking at the accounts that I incorrectly received.
Now I don't bother to contact FNB, I just wait until the person's cell number come through (which is surprisingly a long time after I received their ID number, address, bank activity, power of attorney etc etc) and then phone them. Always fun conversation. Hello Mr X, I am Mr X. You might not know me but boy do I know a lot about you. Please phone FNB to sort out the mess on your account. Once following the incontact messages I phoned them right agter they walked out of checkers and he was surprised I knew it.
