Never had a bad Uber trip since I don't use it much. I once had a taxi door fall off and another taxi got impounded before I reached my stop.

i had a taxi engine start smoking ..engine in the front you sit on top of it

and then another the brakes caught light and they put it out ..5km down the road the same side wheel came off and we went sliding to one side of the road
beauty of real taxis

It was good and I had a few laughs but I'm glad I'm done with taxis. The clowns are shooting themselves again here even with SAPS present.

might well be, did you complain via the app or something?

in my case it was a ride GetWorth booked for me to get home after selling a car and the driver probably knew what's what, so there was no avenue for me to complain directly to Uber

to be fair he did also seem exhausted, like dangerously exhausted as if he pulled an all nighter or something, in the end I was glad to get home alive
Yes, I complained, they asked for more details and gave me a refund.

Yes, this morning in the Uber to work

First asks where im going, are you serious?

Drives WAY off track after explaining, literally 3km or more off route cause you talking more KAK than paying attention to even the speed bumps

Gets a attitude when i asked do you have the map route available cause this is off route and i need to be at work at 6am, that's why i booked at 5:30

Starts talking race KAK, yes I'm white bro, i can see you eye balling me the mirror every time you mention BIG BUSINESS BOER to see my reaction. Clearly im just a regular working class dude, i cant even fake being a big business boer

last rant, car was a piece of crap also, i always bless the driver with a R10/R20 tip depending on how leka we chat, but this bro, nah dude, go home

black is the biggest rip off ever, literally the exact same cars as everything else, just 3 times the price for the exact same car.

I mean I expect a Bentley if Im paying that much, all I get is a Polo Sedan , and they call that black..
I would rather pay more and get something better. In the US you’ll typically get a newish Lincoln Navigator, or at worst a Chev Suburban, and best a Cadillac Escalade. In the UK (no black option, rather Exec and Lux), you will typically get a Merc E Class or Merc S Class respectively (or similar- BMW 7, Audi 8, etc). The driver will also typically be in a suit, etc.

Dashboard/gauge cluster warning lights, not just fuel.

IYKYK.
Ok so I have to say Uber once notified me that it had upgraded my ride to Uber Black just as a free trial ... and when the guy arrived it was in an older BMW 5 Series with a permanent traction control light on on the dashboard. Kinda ruined the "luxury" experience for me, ya know.

As for the guys driving with their petrol lights on, that just tells you all you need to know about how the rest of the car has been maintained.
