Mulder said that Malan’s arguments are sloppy, unscientific, and politically motivated rather than a genuine analysis.

Sure sounds like Malan has either an ulterior motive, otherwise he is not in touch with what is really happening, one of the two.

Well obviously, not that secret, anyway. Don't care what the media says a 1.4% party isn't suddenly going to win an election this year. Voting for a minority party is just going to take votes away from parties that do hold influence. Let see what November brings. Although I suppose if a minority party is strong enough in your particular area, then supporting it locally makes sense.
 
This is not only pointless because we do not need any new parties, but it's also pointless because there are huge disparities even within the Afrikaans speaking segment of our society. Is this party going to include Afrikaans coloureds (who actually outnumber white Afrikaners)? Is it going to include young liberal Afrikaners who have turned their backs on the old conservative, Calvanistic Christian ways of their forefathers? Is it going to include Afrikaners who have now been voting for the Democratic Alliance the last 25 years? I don't think they realise just how segmented this group really is?

Growing up there was a joke / quote of somebody who said "The last time the Afrikaners stood together was when they were puking over the railing on the boat to St Helena"
 
I'm surprised they had the meeting in Fourways. Perhaps it's because they wouldn't be recognised by all the Souties there, or maybe because the Braai Room at Lonehill Shopping Centre is quite good.

one could argue that up till now the afrikaaners just enjoy watching their beautiful Country get turned to ****
all cause some of them wanted to sing kumbaya and not have a lekka civil war,
and segregate SA into their own country, where everything works.

or I guess Orania is it, I mean its something I guess.
