SARS loses court battle against taxpayers whose returns were submitted without their authority

SARS has lost a High Court battle over its refusal to reconsider tax assessments based on returns allegedly submitted without a taxpayer’s authority.

Probably because you could have cases where companies will try to use it as an excuse.

Good that SARS lost in this case on the grounds that even they agreed it was not authorized. Is an odd case to take to court and could have had a lot more ramifications if that wasn't the reason for the loss.

It's easy wasting money when you not paying for it.
