Images from the crash show a crater-sized hole in a residential road, with patches of fire and pieces of concrete and debris from the Learjet 60 aircraft scattered.

The aircraft had departed from Austin, Texas, and was headed to the Bahamas, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.
Unverified footage posted on social media shows what appears to be a dash-camera recording the moment of the crash. It shows vehicles driving on a residential suburban street, when suddenly an aircraft nosedives into the ground almost vertically, and explodes into a large fireball.

"When you see that video, it's a jarring thing," Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told reporters at a news conference after the crash. "It's like a missile coming down, and a massive explosion, debris going everywhere."
The impact of the crash caused considerable damage to local infrastructure, including its water lines, they said, and it would be at least 30 days before the road re-opened.

Thunderstorms had been reported in the area at the time of the crash, and it was heavily raining as the news conference was held.

CNN shows the brief but brutal dashcam clip:
The crash is the second deadliest in the United States this year, according to National Transportation Safety Board records, following June’s skydiving plane crash in Butler, Missouri, which killed 12.

Officials have not identified the nine people who were aboard the plane or said how many were passengers and crew.
There are no reports of anyone on the ground being killed, but it did create a significant debris field, the governor said. About 600 people are in need of shelter on the ground due to the crash, a county official said.
Minutes before the crash, the pilot of the plane reported ice accumulating on the aircraft, an outside air temperature of -47 degrees Celsius, and moderate turbulence, bouncing the plane by up to 700 feet, according to a recording of air traffic control radio calls captured by LiveATC.net.

The recorded audio link goes from calm to chilling:
But moments later, after reporting precipitation started to fall and requesting to climb, they declared an emergency.

“We’re descending 8,000 – mayday, mayday - we’re descending 10,000 feet per minute,” the pilot said. “We are in an overspeed condition descending 20,000 feet per minute … We’re going to crash into the ground.”
There were scattered storms in the area at the time of the crash, and the plane passed through a stronger storm cell a few minutes before it began descending. It is unclear if the storm contributed to the crash but at the time, the flight was in an area where the FAA had warned of thunderstorms and threats to aircraft, known as a convective SIGMET.

I'm trying to keep it tactful so I do not encourage anyone to watch that video beyond the first few seconds. The moments before the crash are audio of a female co-pilot talking to ATC, as transcribed above.
The audio clip in the video is also in your cnn link.

‘Cataclysmic’ jet crash onto Florida roadway kills all 9 on board - NBC News

The Learjet 60 departed from Texas and was headed for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

All nine people on board a Learjet 60 jet died in a “cataclysmic” crash in Florida on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The flight, which departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was headed for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas, crashed near Cresthaven, a residential neighborhood in Palm Beach County, around 12:50 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said all nine people on the flight died. He called the crash a “horrific tragedy” on social media, adding, “Please join me in praying for the families and loved ones of those we lost.”

The identities of the people on board have not been released.

Video captured on a car’s dashcam showed the moment the jet nose-dived into a roadway at high speed, resulting in a fiery explosion. Plumes of fire and smoke billowed from the site of impact.

Another video of the aftermath showed a crater in the middle of a road engulfed in flames.

In distressing air traffic control audio, a woman says: “Mayday, mayday. We’re descending 10,000 feet per minute.”

She later frantically yells, saying the jet was descending at 20,000 feet per minute.

“We’re gonna crash into the ground 722 Bravo Delta,” she can be heard saying, followed by a scream.

Only about two minutes earlier, she had reported experiencing “light, clear ice” but said it was “manageable,” and she described “moderate turbulence.” She later reported, “We’re picking up precipitation,” and asked to climb in altitude.

A flood watch was in effect Sunday for southern Florida, with numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms forecast to continue through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis described the crash as “cataclysmic.”

“It looked like a missile going down. It left a big crater on the side of the road,” DeSantis told reporters after the crash.

He said that the crash spewed a large amount of debris that spanned a “pretty significant distance” but that there were no reports anyone on the ground was injured or killed.
