F1 2026

Now Kimi needs to proof that he is not a one year only champion like Norris.

He won the championship on a MB that was by far the best car on the grid at the beginning of the year and with Russell that showed us he's average but lately he not not been that great apart from Texas.

The way kept calm there's no chance he'll be a one hit Norris. I'd bet over the long term he'll crush both Lewis and Max's records.

Ferrari better manage their drivers better because this will eventually end in tears for them.
Totally agree.

What's curious is that apart from the stewards, nobody else seems to have noticed that Lewis also went off track. He's blaming Charles for his inability to make the corner

Russell has had horrendous luck with his car this year. Again yesterday, down on deployment at the start leaving him a sitting duck.

Even Toto Wolff, who threw him under the bus during the first half of the season, is fully acknowledging the crap he had to deal with all season.

Because he was defending against his teammate who was attacking him as if his life depended on it.

Charles chucked away a Ferrari 1-2. Lewis was on the radio with the team, alluding to a pre-race briefing about how they woud race each other. Even Max questioned Charles' driving and conceded that he likely would not have beaten Lewis.

Charles threw away a Ferrari win and potentially a double podium.

As others have been saying, he has been hyper aggressive with all of his Ferrari teammates.

There is a pattern of Leclerc attacking his teammates and then being noted for being ''softer'' with drivers from other teams. So much so that it has become a meme within F1 fan circles of Leclerc seeing red (in the literal sense) and attacking while shying away from the other cars.

Vettel also had issues with his driving. The infamous ''Mein gott, mus das sein!'' in Brazil 2019 and the divebomb in Austria 2020 that took both of them out. In Bahrain 2020 they nearly crashed again because of an aggressive move by Leclerc and Vettel went off at the team over the radio about his driving, saying they spoke about giving each other space.
I forgot about those incidents actually.

Speedster knows better than Max, quite clearly.

I can't wait for RPM's next video, he will be pulling a Stroll on Le Crash.

Interesting stat came out on Sunday from Karun Chandhok. If you take the season from Barcelona onwards, around the time that Red Bull started getting on top of their power issues, Max would only be 6 points behind Kimi (can't remember if this was before Mexico City or during it though). Just shows how strong the Milton Keynes outfit has come on in the latter half of the season. They do have a history of pursuing development late into the season though.

Bodes well for next year.

All depends on who has the faster car next season... and the one after that..... and the one after that.

Max and that Red Bull are back, and Kimi isn't going to have an easy ride to another title next year. Kimi has promise, but the fight is only going to get tougher, and Max will really test him next year. Might be a very close season.

That said, for Kimi a few things stand out for me. His last race at COTA, with the pressure of the championship on his shoulders, he pulls out a race win. The Monza win was unbelievable. A few other races the guys has had proper scraps to move up places and he has held his nerve. So it will be good.

piastri was a disappointment for me this year

he has been very quiet sitting in the mid top 10s

I was really rooting for Piastri last year, but the way he fell off rails from last year mid season onwards and just never recovered from there till now. A pity.

Puts to bed the claims of sabotage at McLaren last year and Zak Brown favouring Norris.

Norris is simply the better driver. Piastri cracked last season and is now being thoroughly shaded by Norris.

Just like we are used to here in SA. It is never the ANC's fault, there are excuses for everything and everyone else is to blame.
Alonso, Vettel, Rosberg, Verstappen, Leclerc.

He has won 1 race and one pole for Ferrari but the clown and his supporters expect Ferrari to make him nr1
LOL what a bunch of idiots.

Also Ferrari has all the data, they know Leclerc is their fastest driver, by a good margin. You don't even need that. Anyone watching objectively will know Leclerc is faster. He had a bad patch earlier in the year struggling with the brakes and had a few dnf's and still just a few point behind his teammate. The same teammate that beat Hamilton by almost 100 points last year.

Nobody mention the race fixing with Hamilton being swopped with Kimi before the restart. Thats after all his complaining on the radio

LOL and Fred quickly shut down the British media when they wanted to blame Leclerc for everything.
No, no, I haven’t singled anyone out,” added Vasseur. “I want to talk to them. I think Lewis also went wide, but I believe we also need to keep in mind that we represent a brand, we represent sponsors, and we have 2,000 people working behind us. They’re not racing just for themselves, they’re racing for all those people. I’m really angry
I said it more that 2 years ago. This guy will ruin Ferrari on the track and off the track.

Aduo doesn't seem such a blunder after all then either.

That argument only hold if the aggression was on the inside pushing the defender wide, or on the outside cutting across the defender. In this case the aggressor was on the outside and ran wide himself. Lewis shouldn't be blaming Charles for why he himself ran wide. What Lewis (and his fans) are admitting here is that if Charles did manage to make the corner, Lewis would've pushed him off.
