SA Politics Part 14 - The New Dawn turns to Dusk

The one problem with our political system is candidates are awarded "promotion" opportunities based on how much they follow the party line and don't cause any problems (our ward councillor was only elected in 2021 but was on the DA list for provincial government for the 2024 election, however, he was not elected because he was too far down the list. However, it did tell me he was merely using his councillor position as a stepping stone to higher office and wasn't really interested in the concerns of the residents). There is no involvement with the general public or even DA members who are NOT councillors/MPs. It may be that was she causing problems for DA Gauteng...
It would help a great deal if we can just drop the pretense and accept that an overwhelming majority is in it for the career prospects and the financial security, the working for the public comes secondary, it's a very tiny minority who can do it without any hope for reward.

I have always wondered how black people who support the DA feel when they hear comments like this from their fellow party supporters, it must take some serious lack of self respect to pretend everything is fine. At least those who are employed have a financial motivation., but what if you are just a random nobody?
Amazeballs. I wonder who brought race into it. Oh, wait ...

A ballot delivery delay left 217 voting stations across the Cape Metro unable to open on time for special voting on Monday.

The IEC blamed an unforeseen hold-up by the contracted printing company. Affected areas included Kraaifontein, Khayelitsha, Strand and Delft.Voters, including many elderly people who had applied for special votes, were turned away and told to return on Tuesday. Some indicated they would not try again.

The IEC apologised for the inconvenience and said stations would open as ballots arrived. The problem was limited to the Cape Metro, with outer regions operating normally.

Special voting continues on Tuesday. The main local government elections take place on Wednesday, 4 November.

So remind me again why tomorrow you lot will go cheer, queue, and vote for overwhelming majority?

Cultists

Remind me and not remind us, It's so nice and refreshing to speak to a person than a gang once in a while.

But to answer you, it is the widely accepted system, you either work in it or you make everyone accept your system, it's not that deep.

That's the problem with sheep. But keep voting for the wolves and let's see how far that gets us
