2026 local government elections real time results and updates

Any unpleasant voting experiences to report? Milnerton High School was a slow starter due to problematic scanners, but it started to flow. Got into the queue around 6:50 and was done about 8:30 or so.

Voting was a breeze as always, popped across at about 8:15, got back into my car at around 8:30 or so.
Was it a breeze in the last elections? My voting station has always been 15 mins except last election where it took the whole day and multiple drivebys to wait until the line was a quarter (6pm) of the length of during the day which then still took an hour.

Every election.

Never a line, and always a pleasant experience.

I went at 7 but seems everyone had that idea. Luckily just a short walk for me so will try again in a bit.

About 15mins at 10:15. IEC guy moaned that government didn't provide any water for them.

Thats piss poor on the IECs part really but not unsurprising.

Even at our voting station, nobody from the IEC had contacted the manager of the property until this week about the use of the property for voting.

Went with my mother who is a pensioner so we were in and out in 10mins. Line was very long though, rate hour plus.

Also met the incumbent and candidate ward councilors as I was leaving and had a quick chat with them. Overall a good, civilized experience.

Ours they started last night but the tents are all skew and there are cable ties and junk strewn everywhere.
All the traffic lights in centurion cbd are also down on voting day so guessing another power failure, no one seems to care anymore.

Easy enough on my side. I think that it was less than an hour from walking out of my front door to getting back home. The queue wasn't long when I arrived, though a fair few old people did get moved ahead of me before I got inside to vote.
