Movie Mini-Review Thread - Part IV

Resident Evil (2026) 7.5/10

A genuine delight, entertainment in spades! Tight running time in a story extremely well paced. The strong comedic elements mixed with the extreme gore & WTF scenes absolutely nails. Highly recommend. Strong shout out to MVP Austin Abrams, he was on the money thru it all. This was legit a breast of fresh air.

Primetime (2026) 6.5/10

We should all take a seat & give it a watch, unsettling & disturbing. I expected more tbh, some elements are played fast and loose. Robert Pattinson was extremely convincing but calling it a "career-best performance" is stretch.

The Runner (2026 film) - 4/10

What a lot of kak. Thought it would be more exciting from watching the trailer. Was also as boring as the movie with the guy in the phone booth.

Then thought I'd try something that looks half decent....ffs was I wrong.

One Last Shot (2026) - 2/10

Starring Dolph Lundgren - it must be ok right.....right......he was in the first 5 mins and last 5 mins.

The rest of the move was filled with all these soldier wannabe's filled with all the usual miliary w4nk words thrown randomly in.

Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (2026) 7/10

This action thriller has a lot going on. Stacks of thrills & way more depth than it needs to have. It's got this calming tone before it all let's loose. Once again Mahershala Ali knocking it out the park.

Verity (2026) - 6.5/10. Compelling plot and good acting, even from Dakota Johnson. Anne Hathaway is good as always. The movie loses a point for not showing more nudity. :p
Primetime (2026) - 6/10. Interesting take on the start of to Catch a Predator reality series. Robert Pattinson is fair in this but his performance can be over the top at stages. Decent enough midweek afternoon viewing.

Resident Evil (2026)

For fans of the games it has nods to various locales/games, and though not lore accurate, I found it to be very good for what it is.
Had me LOL on quite a few occasions. Recommended. Very entertaining.
