South Africa's National Consumer Commission told MyBroadband that it was engaging with iStore South Africa to verify reports that screens of the new iPhone Duo foldable were cracking after hours or days of use.

Consumers who can pay R76000.00 for a smartphone do not need any protection from NCC. They can handle that with istore or apple.

Yes, it's a crackdown in the middle of it's screen. Must be very annoying when looking at a centrefold and the punani is in the crack of the screen.

The headline made me giggle.

Obviously if you keep bending a screen it is not going to end up well.
Can't believe people still fall for this

I think there's also confusion in that people have the display OFF and saying there's a crease now. There will be... the Samsung's and others do it too. The problem everyone has worked hard to fix is the crease NOT showing when its displaying something.

Some of the "usual characters" have not chimed in yet.

Best fix so far.....

This makes the Switch 2 look like a bargain bin purchase even if you're paying over R1000 for games. Apple live on their own planet.
