2026 local government elections real time results and updates

I do wonder whether the DA and ActionSA will make peace in order to keep en ANC out in Gauteng, or will the DA have to work with ANC to get over the 51%.

Maybe the ANC and Action SA will team up with all the smaller parties to keep the DA out?

I dont think any of them want jhb to become the DA's foothold where they show the difference they make like they did in Capetown. I can only guess it will be some mangled mess. But we can hope.

ActionSA has largely kept the boat afloat in CoT , at least much better than compared to places like CoJ, but they do have plenty of room to improve.

I think the best outcome would be ASA & DA coalition as that would cover a very wide range of the populace in Tshwane and be best for business as the ANC's track record is nothing short of utterly dismal!

I agree. But it would be interesting to see which party Herman decides to back.

He really does not like the DA, thats for sure, but is it enough for them to rather gamble and go with the ANC, MK, EFF etc who we know have a horrible track record at governing. ActionSA siding with the DA is also risky for the DA....
