What to know about the Iran war today:​

  • President Trump said Thursday that the world "will know very soon" his decision on whether to make a deal to end the war with Iran, or to order new strikes to "destroy what is left" of the country.
  • Mr. Trump called the Emir of Qatar to discuss efforts to end the war, the Qatari leader's office said Friday. The exchange came as Iran's top diplomat held a series of calls with his counterparts across the Persian Gulf - part of "efforts to maintain stability in the region."
  • Motorists could soon see U.S. gas prices fall below $4 a gallon for the first time since July, energy experts tell CBS News. Global oil prices have ticked back up slightly after plummeting this week on expectations that the U.S. midterm election results could increase pressure on Mr. Trump to strike a deal with Iran.

“Nobody considered this a European problem,” Dr. Lynette Nusbacher, who helped develop two of the UK’s National Security Strategies as part of the National Security Secretariat and formerly headed the Strategic Horizons Unit in the UK Cabinet Office, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.

Nusbacher spoke a day after Iranian officials told European media that the regime planned to strike Europe if European countries allowed the US to use their bases to attack Iran.

Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani, a member of the Iranian parliament’s security committee, told Euronews: “If America uses its bases in Europe, including in Italy and Germany, Iran’s missiles will be fired towards Europe… In the two previous wars, we did not do this, but this time, we will not let Europe’s assistance to America for an attack on Iran go without consequence.”

Something scary to think of is that this is the way Trump can make himself unimpeachable. Dems won't dare to punish Trump for getting rid of Iran on his political capital.

I guess VF+ never truly shed their skins. Some never left the alliance when the old guard joined the left leaning party.

Stuff coming out of the White House and adjoining offices is so batsht crazy I thought it's real. They have the likes of Paula White somewhere not far from the Oval office so things like these aren't completely out of realm of possibility.
