Android 9.0+ and AOAv2 usb audio streaming

Google have deprecated and removed AOAv2 usb audio streaming from Android 9.0 going forward - has anyone spotted a work around or way to get it back in a custom ROM? Real pain in the arse because I've been forced back to 8.1
