    Using a different oil to manufacturer specs

    I have a ford Figo 1.4 petrol (Zetec S/Duratec engine) and the manufacturer recommendation is 10W30 oil. I serviced the car at about 125 000 kms (not at a Ford dealership) and noticed on my invoice they added 15W40 oil. After about 5000 kms I noticed a knocking sound (but could have been there...
