i used them till my isp called me and told me to stop or face the music.

we used to call it;

the black bulldog list or the bulldog list, was long ago when i still used a modem. use the 0800 number that techies / employee related used from the isp and free internet

I remember the bulldog list. You had to sign up with eBucks and get around 100 free ebucks or so. Then transfer it to the bulldog guys and they'd mail you a list of 0800 numbers...aah the good old days
