Hi guys,

I ordered the Closer Plan 4 on Wednesday afternoon, hopefully and i mean hopefully they will have my dsl installed by next week. The funny thing is that Plan 4's benefits only kick in when they installed at the exchange etc..

Now, what i would like to know from you guys are some opinions about which two ISPs I can chose.

I thought about taking one 3GB/27GB IS account (mainly for online gaming/browsing/downloading) and a 1GB WebAfrica Top-up account(gaming/browsing).

With the IS one i wanna use the 3GB for the first 3 weeks and then use the 27GB for downloading from the news server. The 1GB account will then mainly just be used for gaming/browsing the last week of the month, and then carry-over unused bandwith to the next month.

Do you guys think the two accounts are a good combination for what i intend to be doing or not ?

Any other ideas, suggestions will be welcomed. I am so looking forward to my dsl experience that i feel like a litte kid in a candy store !! :p

Thanks

Well it is a good combo, what i do is take a 2gig/28 gig IS account and a 1 gig webafrica saix account, I start downloading from around the 7th of the month and then use both accounts in combination using route sentry. The 1 gig webafrica does last me the entire as I use it for surfing only.

sorry to ask a stupid question ... those combo accounts ie. 2GB/27GB.
When you download 1GB on the 1st day from a local server what data amount will you have left? " 1GB/27GB or 2GB/26GB" ??

First three gb comes directly from the 3gb cap regardless of what you're using it for. After that initial amount you're capped internationally.

did you read my ISP thread? Kinda explains what accounts can be used with what for the best value.

dageg

2/27 you use your 2 gig first then your 27

so if you use 1 gig you have 1 /27

rather get a local 30 gig or 10 gig and 1 or 2 gig saix

MrG, gonna have a look at your thread real quick, thanks, i nearly forgot to read that it :)

Dage, i am also excited to get adsl for online gaming :)

The lady i ordered it from, told me that the application has to go through 26 different people before it gets processed....yeah right i thought to myself...just an excuse for their long delays in installation perhaps ? :p

/me gonna phone telkom everyday next week till they get blue in the face, so that they can hurry up ....
