Hi

I have the IDS X64 alarm system. When arming or disarming the alarm from outside I struggle to hear the beeps. Is it possible to add 2 sirens to work in conjunction?

2nd question the sirens sound is on but it does nit make beep but a different sound, how do I get the regular beep sound.

ask your installer for a sound bomb ,gets fitted in the roof space and is a very high pitch ,they can be up to 130 db ,you want the one that looks like a small round siren ,not the flat box type .ie mini siren from communica.

we called the siren beep a choink choink ,thats sometimes dependant on the type of siren used .

These days alarm system notice the siren, siren wire cut etc. So I will do the following , put a high impedance relay and let it operate siren two. Second q, why don't you use a high power wide blue led, so you may clearly see if siren is on. My 2 leds is connected via a relay on the radio pgm. I also recently install a hype, now alarm also operate via app.

I had the same issue, the arm/disarm beep is very soft.

So i changed one of the globes in an outside light to a Smart bulb. I then connected my DSC to Homekit through the ESP32 controller build thingie, and have a rule that when the alarm is armed the smart bulb is on. When the alarm is off, the smart bulb is off. I can also ask Siri or look at the phone but seeing a light as you approach is easier.

Incase some of you are wondering why i didn't go with Green=off, red=Armed as its an RGB globe, my reason was I am worried criminal watching the house would see the obvious color and then notice how it changes to Green before i drive out etc. Whereas a white light coming on and off in the day is less obvious.
