200MB and 500MB Data Bundles

Why doesn't MTN offer more options on the data bundles? The 100MB is a very reasonable bundle. But the next option is 1G for R500. That is more data than I need and is also way more expensive than I want to spend on data calls each month.

An option for 200MB would be great! And others would find the 500MB option suites them better.

MTN would surely attract more business.

You not the first one to ask that question!
We all are waiting........patiently...for MTN to find what they call " sweet spots "...... :rolleyes: wonder when they will find it?????????

Anyway, to MTN: Please give us more than what Vodacom is offering! they have 10 "spots" - not all that sweet though...
Their 250mb and 500mb are nice. You guys try and give us even more options.....but fast..otherwise it theres going to be a bitter taste left in our mouths and the "sweet spots" will have to be really sweet to rectify that.
 
MTN is in fact working on this, just ask MTNBB. According to the helpdesk they might have the new bundles on offer by end July. But that is what 808 says, so I don't know how accurate that info is... :rolleyes:

MTN have been looking for quite a while. On 8th April:

MTN are getting quite good at "hitting the bull" and if they spend any longer looking for sweet spots they will rot their teeth

Sealtron_teltonika EDGE units

Good day all,
I would just like to give some info of the Sealtron-Teltonika EDGE units, We have updated the www.sealtron.co.za site to include a lot more unit data on the modem page.
For any inquireies about EDGE class 10, apparently Teltonika are planning to bring out one as soon as the end of the year but the engine manufactuers were still sorting out some bugs. We will update the forum as soon as we know further.
 
Why don't they just let you pick what ever bundle you want in say 100 and 50 mb increments?
That way you can pick what works for you.
So if 300 mb is not enough, add an extra 50.

I was told by a spy that the whole pricing structure was designed to be sold as multiple bundles, but it was canned at the last minute. Anyway MTNBB told us four months ago that the concept was again being "looked at"

Hi. That was my original comment.

Since 8 April we launched the reduced rates and postpaid bundles, then the Blackberry, we consolidated our EDGE coverage, launched 3G in five cities and from next weekend the prepaid data bundles will be available (see my separate thread).

We will keep striving to speed up our development processes and keep up the momentum of new products and price plans.

Yes, but 3G in five cities and prepaid data bundles don't reduce my monthly bill. When will you keep your promise 4 months ago to provide reasonably priced data bundles to the rest of us. Let's not even get into your silly claim to be the cheapest in the world.

No response I see. MTNBroadband is again out there answering all the easy questions.

When will those of us who chose MTN over Vodacom because of the hype, get some decent prices.

At this stage I will be happy with prices equal to Vodacom. Cheapest in my house would be good, never mind the world!
 
MyWireless last week announced R300 for 500Mb and R1/Mb for excess. Just mentioning it because there's nothing much else to talk about.

Prices from other broadband suppliers?

Still nothing from MTN. I suppose they figure that we can't leave so they'll just carry on bleeding us. Well I'm preparing to switch anyway - never mind the contract.

The problem is that I don't know where to go. Six months ago, I did a whole lot of research, and landed up with ... yup MTN. So I'm clearly not very good at this.

Is there a thread where the prices and ratings of the other suppliers are summarised?
 
You cant even load a 1GB data bundle, cause I have been trying for 3 months so far, and it says it loaded, but it didnt, nor did it take money, i have been on the phone with MTN numerous times, and they always take my details, escelate the problem, and never come back to me. MTN is a bunch of assholes
 
We moved 18 of our staff to Vodacom this month because of MTN not coming to the party with better bundles. There will be more this coming month.
 
Where be da 500MB bundle?

Anyone at MTN figured out yet that we want a 500MB price bundle? My hand's hovering over the Vodacom 24 month contract... No seriously, this seems to have been draaaagggging on for such a long time, c'mon MTN it aint rocket science!
