2adsl lines into 1 line then split again?

Telkom when they installed our second line they took both outside lines and added them into one line leading into the house then split it again...

does anyone know if this can/will cause problems?

Probably took your 2 single pair dropwires and replaced it with a 2pair single cable.

The new outside cable can carry 2 lines at once. Sort of like the aerial cable that Carries many lines. No problems.
